O Añr Adoijja Woton | A Proposed National Anthem of Arakan | O Aar Adoijja Woton | Nooruddeen Al Arakani | AL HAQQ This anthem has been proposed as the national anthem of the independent Arakan that the Rohingya nation dreams of. Since Arakan is still a state under the rule of Myanmar, and the Rohingya people—who consider Arakan their homeland—are living there and in different parts of the world as stateless refugees, this is a time when every capable Rohingya can create and propose an anthem that truly reflects the relationship between Arakan and the Rohingya nation, as well as their history. From my own place, I have also created and proposed one such anthem. When the right time comes, by the will of Almighty Allah, the most suitable anthem will be chosen as the national anthem of Arakan, Insha’Allah. Below, I have included the lyrics of my proposed anthem along with their meanings and messages. O Añr Adoijja Woton, O Shunali Arakan Oh my dear homeland, Oh golden Arkan. (This expresses our love for Arakan.) Tor Sokhoro Zonna, Tor Hañsaro Dhoijja The waterfalls of your eyes, the seas at your edges, your soil and your air — all are dear to me. (This describes the natural beauty of Arakan while also expressing a deeper love and attachment to our homeland.) Tor Diya Doijjar Sor, Hañzai Di Raikkefan Your islands and beaches look as if they are beautifully set (in the perfect place). (This highlights the incomparable beauty of Arakan and presents it as a land of exceptional beauty compared with other places in the world.) Tor Zominor Rizik Hai, Basai Añr Foran By eating the food from your land, I stay alive. (This reminds us of our responsibility toward Arakan. If we live by consuming the sustenance provided by its land, then we also have a duty to protect the honour of that land.) Tor Hazana Ye Tane, Duniyair Diyan The hidden treasures in your chest attract the attention of the world. (This speaks of the value and importance of Arakan before the world. There are treasures within its land that naturally draw the attention of the entire world toward it.) Tor Bowtagan Duniyait, Shantir Ek Nishan Your flag is a sign of peace in the world. (This refers to the precious message represented by the Kalimah on Arakan’s national flag—a symbol of peace in this world and in the Hereafter.) O Añr Adoijja Woton, O Shunali Arakan Oh my dear homeland, Oh golden Arkan. Hazar Bosor Loti, Añra Rohingya Zati For thousands of years, we, Rohingya nation .... Hoto Foran Diyi, Loite Tor Azadi Sacrificed many lives, to take your freedom. (This expresses the ancient presence of the Rohingya nation in the land of Arakan and its long history of sacrifice and struggle.) Tui Allahr Niyamot, Rakhi Añra Monot You are a special gift from Allah for us, and we remember it. (This teaches the present and future generations of Rohingya to remember Arakan throughout their lives, because Arakan is a blessing from Allah for the Rohingya people.) Hoi Allahu Akbar, Beggun Ek Abasot We all say "Allahu Akbar" in one voice together. (This expresses the unity of the Rohingya nation, while also calling upon the nation to stay united.) Tor Izzotor Bodolat, Diyum Añy Foran I will sacrifice my life instead of your honour. (This teaches us to be willing to sacrifice our lives to protect the freedom and honour of our homeland.) Tor Azadi Basi Tok, Qiyamot Ofan May your freedom last until the end of time. (This is a prayer to our Almighty Lord for the lasting freedom of our homeland, while also calling upon the nation to work toward achieving and preserving that freedom.) O Añr Adoijja Woton, O Shunali Arakan Oh my dear homeland, Oh golden Arkan Credits Lyrics, Tune & Vocals: Nooruddeen Al Arkaani This is currently a simple recording made using an ordinary smartphone. Due to limited resources, I was unable to record it in a professional studio. Insha’Allah, I hope to produce and release a more professionally recorded version in the future. Thank you for listening to this proposed anthem. I welcome respectful feedback and sincere opinions from everyone. #Arakan #Rohingya #NationalAnthem #ProposedNationalAnthem #RohingyaAnthem #ArakanAnthem #NooruddeenAlArkaani #RohingyaCulture #RohingyaMusic #RohingyaArtist
