What does it really mean to pray for others?
In Philippians 1:9–11, Paul’s prayer goes far beyond a mechanical list of requests. He prays that the believers’ love may abound more and more, that they grow in knowledge and discernment, approve what is excellent, become pure and blameless for the day of Christ, and be filled with the fruit of righteousness through Jesus Christ—all for the glory and praise of God.
This study explores how intercession flows from relationship, love, spiritual discernment, and a desire for genuine transformation.
We also consider the difference between simply accumulating biblical information and actually participating in and applying the truth to our lives. The goal is not merely to know more, but to allow God's truth to transform how we live.
