Is computer science still worth it? Yes. Buuut… no. The world still needs programmers. AI is writing more and more of the code, but someone has to decide what to build, check what the AI made, and take responsibility when it breaks. At the same time, getting that first job has never been harder: hundreds of applications per job ad, "entry level" jobs that ask for years of experience, AI filtering CVs before a human sees them, and competition from people learning to code all over the world. In this video, we look at where the field is heading, why the bottom rung of the ladder is getting narrower, and what it actually takes to get through.
