Hollow Creek Lantern - River Took the Rest

A lifetime of labor can be washed away in a single hour when the sky turns green. Just as the barns are filled to the roof with the autumn harvest, the creek rises up and reclaims the valley. The muddy waters swallow the roads and the fences, taking the entire year's sweat and leaving only silence in its wake. A melancholic acoustic lament about nature's cruel indifference and the heavy sorrow of starting over with nothing left. "Corn was cut and stacked in rows Daddy wiped his brow and grinned Twenty acres in the barn We were sitting pretty come November wind" 🎧 Perfect for: rainy afternoons, reflective acoustic sessions, melancholic background music.
