MAUN (मौन) is a cycle of five vocal meditations and four instrumental interludes centered on longing, silence, memory, distance, and return.
The album moves through several languages and poetic traditions of India, allowing each principal song to inhabit its own emotional landscape while the interludes create a continuous inner journey between them. Rather than presenting the music as a survey of styles, MAUN is conceived as a single contemplative work: nine connected movements unfolding from cloud, rain, earth, dusk, midnight, threshold, and dawn.
The title मौन — Maun means silence. Here, silence is not emptiness. It is the space in which longing becomes audible.
