Welcome to Kalam-e-Iqbal by Qasim Yad.
In this lyrical presentation, we bring you one of Allama Muhammad Iqbal’s deeply spiritual and thought-provoking ghazals:
“Gesu-e-Taabdar Ko Aur Bhi Taabdar Kar”
This celebrated ghazal is from Bal-e-Jibril (بالِ جبریل / Gabriel’s Wing), one of Iqbal’s most important poetic collections.
Through powerful images of Ishq, Husn, intellect, revelation, the boundless Divine, Paradise, human destiny and the Day of Reckoning, Iqbal expresses the restless longing of the human self to move beyond limitation and come closer to Ultimate Reality.

📜 Lyrics:
Make the radiant tresses more radiant still;
Captivate sense and reason, and captivate heart and sight.
Let love remain veiled, and beauty too remain veiled;
Either reveal Yourself...or reveal me.
You are the boundless ocean; I am but a little stream.
Either draw me to Your shore...or make me shoreless too.
Why was I commanded to leave the Garden of Paradise?
The work of the world is long...now wait for me.
When, on the Day of Reckoning, my record of deeds is laid before You,
Let even You be ashamed...and let me be ashamed as well.
Allama Iqbal’s poetry continues to speak across generations because it does not merely describe the human condition...it challenges the listener to awaken, seek, question and transcend.
