Gypsy Rose Said WHAT About Ken Before His Death?!

Gypsy Rose Blanchard is back at the center of two arguments that refuse to stay separate: what happened inside her childhood home, and what her own words mean after Ken Urker’s death. Leaked prison recordings from 2020 and 2021 reportedly capture Gypsy telling Ryan Anderson that she had told Ken she hoped he would overdose. Ken was found dead in his Raceland, Louisiana home on October 1, 2026, his thirty-fourth birthday. The Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office report describes syringes, a spoon near a brown powdery substance, another syringe and a holstered handgun at the scene. His official cause of death had not been announced when those records were released, and the sheriff’s office said investigators found no signs of foul play. That new scrutiny lands while another online fight is rewriting the oldest part of Gypsy’s story. A movement arguing Dee Dee Blanchard was an innocent mother points to Gypsy’s credibility and medical history. The documented record is more complicated. Gypsy does have a chromosome 1q21.1 deletion, a condition with widely variable effects, but Dee Dee also claimed a long list of serious illnesses and disabilities for her daughter. Pediatric neurologist Dr. Bernardo Flasterstein documented a strong possibility of Munchausen by proxy after his own evaluation. Then there is Dee Dee’s own family. Her father, Claude Pitre, said in the HBO documentary Mommy Dead and Dearest that nobody wanted Dee Dee’s ashes and that he told the family to flush them down the toilet. Tony Brueski and criminal defense attorney Bob Motta examine what is documented, what is still only alleged or reported, and why Gypsy’s past statements are receiving new attention after Ken’s death.
