LYRICS Good news, good news, let the glad bells ring Bethlehem welcomes its newborn King No marble staircase, no palace hall A borrowed manger, a child so small Mary leans close as He opens His eyes The Word made flesh under Bethlehem skies The promise they carried through years of prayer Has tiny hands and is breathing there No throne of silver, no crown to adorn Yet heaven is singing: Jesus is born Lift up your head, let the glad news start There's room for this wonder in every heart Jesus is born, let the whole earth sing Mercy has come in our newborn King Glory to God, let our praises rise Love has come near under Bethlehem skies Bring every burden, bring every care The Savior has come, and there's hope to share Christmas is calling the weary and worn Come lift your voice—Jesus is born The shepherds were keeping their watch that night When ordinary fields filled up with light “Don't be afraid”—what a word to hear Good news of joy, and the Savior is near They hurried to find Him, then told what they'd seen Not one of their lives would be quite what it'd been The news wasn't saved for the famous or strong The first ones to hear it could pass it along Lift up your head, let the glad news start There's room for this wonder in every heart Jesus is born, let the whole earth sing Mercy has come in our newborn King Glory to God, let our praises rise Love has come near under Bethlehem skies Bring every burden, bring every care The Savior has come, and there's hope to share Christmas is calling the weary and worn Come lift your voice—Jesus is born Now Christmas arrives on the street where we live With more than a ribbon or something to give We set one more place, pull another chair near And tell of the Savior who meets us here The child in the manger is why we rejoice So kindness has hands and the good news a voice From Bethlehem's wonder to this Christmas morn We're sharing the hope that Jesus is born Not just a story we dust off each year The God who made heaven has drawn us near Not just a feeling that fades with the snow The gift of His love goes wherever we go Emmanuel, God with us, faithful and true We open our hearts and we worship You Let all that we're living and all that we say Carry Your joy beyond Christmas Day Jesus is born, let the whole earth sing Mercy has come in our newborn King Glory to God, let our praises rise Love has come near under Bethlehem skies Bring every burden, bring every care The Savior has come, and there's hope to share Christmas is calling the weary and worn Come lift your voice—Jesus is born Good news, good news, let the glad bells ring Glory to Jesus, our Savior and King #ChristianMusic #ChristmasJazz #ChristmasWorship #ChristianChristmas #ChristmasMusic #GospelJazz #JesusIsBorn #Praisely
