Nvidia is the most valuable company in the world, but Japan isn't trying to beat it on speed. It's going after the one number that decides who wins the AI race: watts. In this video, we look at four Japanese projects attacking Nvidia from the side. Rapidus is building 2nm chips in Hokkaido. Fujitsu's Monaka is a 144-core processor that runs air-cooled. Preferred Networks has topped the Green500 efficiency ranking. NTT's IOWN uses light instead of electricity. You'll also hear the honest limits: Monaka is a CPU and not a GPU, much of this hardware hasn't shipped at scale, and Nvidia's CUDA software moat is still huge. If you like stories about the technology shaping the next decade, subscribe to Next Era. Which of the four would you back: Rapidus, Fujitsu, Preferred Networks, or NTT? Tell me in the comments. #Japan #Nvidia #Rapidus #AIChips #2nm #NextEra
