2 Kokomo jobs working the east end of Toledo Peoria & Western’s Indiana Subdivision 11-1-2026

Two Kokomo extra jobs(KOLOX1 and KOLOX2) were called upon to play a cleanup role on the Sunday after Halloween 2026. The first extra’s job was doubling up westbound traffic at Luthy and proceeding to Hoosier Lift with an additional pickup at Reynolds. They would arrive at the terminal with 140 total cars. KOLOX2’s task was to forward traffic from Hoosier Lift back east to Logansport. Before they could begin work however, they had to wait on their power to arrive on X1. Both crews completed a power swap at the west end of HL with the first extra setting off 22 CSX cars in the pass before continuing to Effner with 118. Lengthy switching moves by the second extra delayed their departure until well after nightfall. Scenes from today’s action are listed below with X1 garnering the lion’s share of attention.
