We Spent Everything to Get Here — 600 Pieces of Timber Later, We're Finally Ready.

A new project is coming up here at home — one we've been preparing for by spending every penny we could spare. For the past few days, we've been extracting timber from the forest, and today marks the final day of that process. The morning started with some roasted sweet potatoes and tea before heading out to collect sawdust, which will be essential for the work ahead. We managed to bring home the final batch of timber from the forest, offloaded it, and combined it with the pile we'd already gathered. In total, we now have about 600 pieces of timber — everything we need to finally kick off this project. The day wrapped up with a simple, well-earned dinner: ugali, spinach, and a glass of milk. Three days of hard work, sacrifice, and family teamwork have brought us to this moment.
