We found the original Victorian plans for our stone cottage in Scotland, and they changed how we see the whole house. The front door used to sit in the middle of the bay, there were fireplaces we never knew about, and there was a clock on the front gable that's long gone. We're putting it back.
We compare the old floor plans with the house as it is today and work out why "the tunnel" is there. It turns out the previous owners' strange walls make a lot more sense now. Then we take a breather with a day trip over to the Isle of Bute.
