This Is the Reality of Summer in Rural France

In this week’s rural France vlog, wildfire smoke and the smell of fire reach our old French farmhouse, forcing us to think about something we were never prepared for: what would we do if a wildfire actually came close? Life in rural France doesn’t stop, though. We continue renovating our property and converting our old barn into apartments, work on the underfloor heating, finish a dramatic new wall, build a swing for our daughter and somehow manage to create a small water disaster along the way. And because life in France is never only about renovation, we also explore a French brocante, visit a beautiful village, enjoy a local summer evening market and finally pick the first tomatoes from our vegetable garden.
