Competition of Resources

Here in this moment it is 10 days into October... in a year of drought and where BLM uses headlines such as 'Saving Wild Horses from Starvation' to justify a planned removal of wild horses from the Red Desert Complex in Wyoming this fall. In a year when I was told ranchers would self-limit their range grazing.... and yet here we are, deep into fall with the grasses grazed down, and all else that goes along with a drought - the cows are still here and the horses are under threat of imminent removal. It of course makes me angry that wild horses are being removed while cows still range their normal grazing months... I am also angry for the elk, deer, and pronghorn - over-grazing rancher livestock does not just take away from wild horses, it takes from ALL creatures that know this to be their native land where they do not have any option but to survive on what is left them after human usage have taken, damaged, and destroyed.
