Improving breast cancer outcomes in North East London whilst reducing inequalities

Researcher Dr Christina Derksen and Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) members Shazna and Mehnaz talk about the role that PPI had in the Improving breast cancer outcomes study. The Improving breast cancer outcomes project worked to understand the barriers to diagnosis of breast cancer that people from different backgrounds in North East London face. The project had a strong focus on health inequalities and understanding different communities’ perspectives.
