Since retiring last year, my lifestyle has shifted quite a bit, especially concerning my spending psychology. While I've always had disciplined financial habits, this new phase has really brought my money habits into focus. I'm still adjusting to the daily structure in my retirement lifestyle, but it's a journey of continuous personal finance discovery. I'm curious to hear how your post-retirement life has changed! What changes when you stop working isn't just your schedule. It's what you actually care about.
In this video I'm sharing the things I genuinely never spend money on anymore — some of it happened when I retired, some of it happened before that, and a lot of it came down to finally being honest about what I actually value versus what I was buying out of habit, social pressure, or the costume of having a career.
We're talking expensive clothes, fancy face creams, wine over $20 (hard no), jewelry, purses, books, and the BMW I loved for exactly one month before I resented it. And yes — we also get into what I will always spend money on, because that part matters just as much.
If you're heading into retirement, thinking about it, or just starting to question where your money actually goes — this one's for you.
