My daily life one year into retirement

In this video, I’m sharing what everyday life looks like during my first year of retirement in my mid-50s. Not the vacation version of retirement. Not the carefully planned version. Just the real rhythm of my days now that I no longer have a traditional job or work schedule telling me where to be and what to do. One of the biggest questions people have about early retirement is how they will fill their time. We spend decades imagining the freedom of life after work, but once that freedom arrives, it can take a while to figure out what a satisfying day actually looks like. For me, retirement includes exercise, walks, household projects, errands, creative work, learning, travel planning, taking care of my health, spending time at home, and plenty of small, ordinary things that never sound especially exciting when you list them out. Somehow, though, the days still fill up. This is an honest look at what I do all day, how I’m creating structure without a full-time job, and what I’m learning about purpose, productivity, rest, and freedom during my first year of early retirement. My life in retirement is not one long vacation. Most days are fairly quiet and ordinary. But that may be exactly why I like them so much.
