I have made a video of the class for two reasons: firstly, give an example of my didactic method, and secondly to give examples of the theory, exercises and techniques trained in the class. I will be making dedicated videos of the essential exercises to my Patreon channel, that you can find here:

The videos that I will be adding next to my channel will be done according to this example class:
-basic footwork exercises for Bolognese fencing and the theory behind them
-fencing with minimal contact from the wide measure
-approaching one's opponent from the wide measure to the narrow measure
-engaging in stretta di mezza spada
-basic stretta di mezza spada techniques and theory
For those who are not training the Bolognese tradition, stretta di mezza spada means the distance where the swords are crossed from the middle and the actions that can be done from the said distance and how they must be done - it literally(ish) means the narrow of the middle of the sword. This is something we strive to do in Bolognese fencing as it is one of our main methods of delivering committed blows.
Unfortunately, this is something that is very rarely seen among the Bolognese tradition fencers' swordplay. This is due to, in my understanding, lacking understanding of the theory of Bolognese fencing and lacking methods to train it so that it can be used. Way too often the Bolognese fencing seems to be consisting purely of one-off attacks outside the tempo and absolutely outside of the Bolognese fencing theory.
These videos will get you started in your training to make the theory and the plays, tactics and strategies work in actual free form fencing, allowing you taking a step to the right direction from modern fencing done with HEMA weapons towards historical fencing as it was done in its time.
