What Is God Doing Through Your Suffering? | James 1:2–7, 12–16 | Philippians

How do you keep faith when life hurts? Suffering has a way of exposing what we really believe. In James 1, we're invited to see trials differently — not because suffering is good or because we should pretend that difficult things don't hurt, but because God can use even painful seasons to form something in us. In this message, Arnold explores what it means to remain faithful when life is difficult. Through James and other passages of Scripture, we're reminded that God is still at work, that Jesus understands our weakness and suffering, and that we can approach God for the grace and help we need. Philippians 1:6 gives us another reason to hope: the God who began a good work in us is faithful to carry it through to completion. You may not understand what God is doing in your suffering.
