Highlights of Geiranger - a beautiful Small Village in Norway.

Our next stop after Ålesund was Geiranger—a small, picturesque Norwegian village nestled at the head of the UNESCO-listed Geirangerfjord. From there, we journeyed by coach to Flydalsjuvet, an iconic viewpoint renowned for its breathtaking panoramas overlooking the fjord and the village below. We continued on to Djupvasshytta, a rustic seasonal mountain lodge set at an elevation of 1,030 meters beside the serene Djupvatnet lake. The views of the lake and surrounding landscape were simply stunning. Our excursion also took us to the Eagle’s Bend (Ørnesvingen), the highest of eleven dramatic hairpin turns along the scenic Eagle Road (Ørnevegen). From this vantage point, we were treated to one of the most famous panoramic views of the Geirangerfjord. After an unforgettable day exploring Geiranger, we returned to our ship and set course for our next destination—Tórshavn in the Faroe Islands.
