In 1971, Bangladesh was born from war, famine, and devastation. Henry Kissinger called it a "basket case." Pakistan had the industry, the military, and Western backing. Today, Bangladesh's GDP per capita is 50% higher than Pakistan's. Its garment exports alone out-export Pakistan's entire economy. In this video, I break down the three structural decisions that explain the reversal — exports over aid, women's economic inclusion over exclusion, and manufacturing investment over military spending — and the specific mechanisms that made them compound over five decades. This is not a success story. This is a decisions story. The world makes more sense when you see beyond the surface. #ThinkWithJamal
