96 Things Wrong with All Engines GO - The Joke Is On Thomas

I get that Thomas and Percy were trying to cheer Diesel up, but they could have done a better job by, you know, helping him with his work or encouraging him. Plus all of the practical jokes led to a "Boy Who Cried Wolf" situation. Diesel (rightfully) didn't believe them when they tried to fix the problem! Meanwhile Diesel, who was late on a recent delivery, is determined to stay on schedule and isn’t in the mood for jokes. In the bustle, Diesel accidentally takes the confetti car instead of his proper boxcar, so Thomas and Percy race after him to fix the mix-up. They catch up at the docks, but the confetti car pops, showering the area in confetti. The mishap finally gets Diesel laughing, and everyone finishes their work on time. The episode’s lesson lands with Thomas realizing jokes only work when someone’s ready to laugh, while Diesel learns a good laugh can turn a bad day around.
