EXPERT OPINION 001: AQP for General Aviation, Bill Ziesenitz

Number 001! First in a series! If you are an industry expert in General Aviation, I would like to interview you via Zoom on the channel! The topic is the AQP "surprise scenario" philosophy concept, and how we could utilize it in General Aviation to mitigate fatal accidents. The 7 questions at the end of this video are the same ones that I will ask you, with slight variations based upon your role in GA. FAA training and check rides are all based on FAA "maneuvers" that are absent of startle and surprise factors. AQP "scenarios" are independent of FAA maneuvers and are based upon surprise situations that can cause a pilot to lock up, or respond opposite of what is correct. All fatal GA accidents normally fall into one of the 20 AQP scenarios that could have been well rehearsed in advance.
