Plop! An apple falls off the tree... how many are left? 🐥🍎🐟 In this calm, step-by-step lesson for kids aged 4 to 6, Peep the chick learns to TAKE AWAY. Apples fall from Peep's apple tree into a basket, and little fish swim away out of the pond. Each time, we count what is left. Then we meet the minus sign and the equals sign and read our first take-away sums, like 5 − 2 = 3. We see what happens when everything goes away (zero!) and when nothing goes away, and we finish with a "Your Turn!" quiz your child can pause and answer. ✨ In this video • What "take away" means: some go away, so we have fewer • Counting what is left • Apples falling off a tree, fish swimming away • The minus sign (−) and the equals sign (=) • Taking away all of them, and taking away zero • A pause-and-answer quiz 📖 Chapters 0:00 Hello!
