Ratchet & Clank: Part 19: A Lone Lombax Through Oltanis

As soon as Ratchet & Clank land in planet Oltanis to stop Drek's forces, Clank suddenly gets struck by lightning. Ratchet's response? He's... surprisingly shaken by seeing the little robot getting hurt. He decided to let him wait inside their new ship while he explored Gorda City and its stormy weather. Amazing, because literally one chapter before this, he likely would've left Clank to die from this like a big jerk. Realizing his selfish mistake of hunting down Captain Qwark so badly has made him nicer to Clank, again. ---------- For the entirety of your time in Oltanis, you will only be able to use Ratchet here without Clank and any of Clank's Pack moves, just like at the very beginning of the game before Ratchet met him. Gorda City is split into multiple paths, with a new one unlocking later. I first take on one that involves using Magneboots. This will eventually lead to an obstacle course that threatens you with ice, strong winds, and lightning bars. At the end of this path... whaddya know?! It's Captain Qwark! He somehow survived Ratchet's attack on him, and the Lombax was somehow happy to see him again. Qwark's life has really gone down the toilet since that fight. He doesn't even call himself "Captain Qwark" anymore. Just... "Steve"... Pay "Steve" a cheap charge of 1,000 Bolts, and you'll get the Gadgetron Personal Delivery Assistant, or Gadgetron PDA, for short. This lets you buy ammo of any weapon you currently own. But... this thing has a catch... It's a scam! If you're gonna by ammo through the PDA, it's gonna cost you more Bolts that going for a vendor. For example, one Glove of Doom ammo goes from 40 Bolts to 100! More than double the original price! I suggest saving your money and learning how to use your weapons well than depend on the PDA. I only got it because it was pretty cheap and I wanted to show what it does. ---------- I go for the main path next, and this is full off robots, including ones that come out from manholes. You will also be grinding on rails at one point, with a long course of this having you dodge electric attacks and gates. At the end of this path, Ratchet meets a Scrap Merchant. The bombing from Drek's forces was so loud that it made him deaf, so he's had a lot of trouble hearing what Ratchet was trying to tell him. Either way, pay him 2,000 Bolts and he will give you an Infobot. The Infobot showed a commercial for a destructive robot called the Ultra Mech Unlimited on planet Quartu. ---------- A third path I take is a taxi that goes into the upper city of Gora. There are robots with searchlights, here. If they spot you, they'll summon turrets to gun you down. They can be destroy, but it'll take a minute and you're better off just sneaking around them. You'll also be going through a lot of Swingshot targets. At the end of this path, you'll get the Morph-o-ray. This turns any enemy into harmless chickens! However, the bigger the enemy is, the longer this will take to do. ---------- After that third path, a FOURTH path unlocks after a Blarg ship bombards a statue open. This one involves even more Swingshot targets and has you swingin' through a lot of the city in short time. It's all just to lead to a Gold Bolt. ---------- There are two timely Skill Points to get here. The first one is "Shattered Glass", where you have to break almost every single streetlight that you can find. Dying will respawn them. The second Skill Point here is "Blast 'em", where you use a Visibomb Gun to take down three Blarg ships (or one if you have a save data carryover glitch). A lot to do on this planet without Clank, but once you're done here, you won't have to worry about not being able to use him, again. ---------- It seems that afterwards that Drek finds out that Ratchet & Clank are still alive. He now has a plan to get rid of some other planet that is within the orbit of the one he's trying to build. But which planet is he talking about...?
