The original LHB coaches came with FIAT Bogies - and these bogies costed a lot of money. In order to reduce cost, the railways built a series of coaches with LHB Shell and the old ICF Bogies. Such coaches were called as "Hybrid LHB". These shells offered the features and facilities of an LHB coach. This experiment was short lasting since these coaches had oscillation issues and created speed restrictions.
