Trading Psychology | Episode 12 | How Beliefs Are Formed? In this episode of the Trading Psychology series, Ostad Arman from the SMCFX Trading Elites Association explores two important elements of the human mind: habits and beliefs, and the differences in how they are formed. Many skills we now perform almost automatically once required conscious attention and effort. From driving to everyday behaviors, repeating an action can gradually turn it into a pattern that the mind and body learn to perform with greater control. In this sense, repeating the right behavior is one of the foundations of habit formation and skill development. Beliefs, however, do not necessarily develop in the same way. A belief can be understood as a perception or interpretation we hold about ourselves, other people, or the world around us. These perceptions can influence not only how we interpret our experiences, but also how we define ourselves. This episode explores the distinction between habits and beliefs, the role of repetition in building habits, and how beliefs can be formed and changed. Ostad Arman also discusses a common pattern: turning a job, condition, behavior, or personal trait into an identity. Statements such as “I am an athlete,” “I am unemployed,” or “I am lazy” can reveal how easily a temporary role or characteristic can become part of the way we define ourselves. The central message of this episode is simple: habits and beliefs are both formed within the mind, but they are not created in the same way. Understanding the difference is an important step toward conscious change. 🎙️ Trading Psychology Podcast A podcast by SMCFX Trading Elites Association Hosted by Ostad Arman 🌐 SMCFX.ir
