⛈️ The Adventure I Nearly Didn’t Have | My First Solo Camp | Day 1

Hello World! 👋🌍 I had a completely different adventure planned for this weekend… but sometimes plans change. I was supposed to head to Wales for a couple of nights of hiking and wild camping, but after watching the forecast deteriorate, I made the difficult decision to call it off. I was pretty gutted - and for a while, I very nearly stayed at home altogether. Instead, I packed the car and headed to Canal Camping in Dilham, Norfolk, for my first-ever solo camping trip. 🏕️ And I'm VERY glad I did. In Day 1, come along for a mooch as I set up camp, explore the North Walsham & Dilham Canal, follow parts of the Weavers' Way, discover a bit of Norfolk's canal history, meet some local wildlife 🦌… and discover that apparently moving 250 miles east doesn't necessarily mean you escape the thunderstorms. ⛈️😂 There's also camp cooking, questionable sausage-related commentary 😂, a few laughs and some absolutely beautiful Norfolk scenery along the way. This wasn't the adventure I'd planned. But it became the adventure I nearly didn't have. 🛶 DAY 2: The mooch continues next Sunday as I get the kayak out and head onto the Norfolk waterways for another adventure.
