Running for Steve: 7 Marathons in 7 Days for Thyroid Cancer

Seven marathons. Seven days. One deeply personal reason. When Joe Benjamin-Guest learned that Steve, his lifelong family friend and godfather, had been diagnosed with anaplastic thyroid cancer, he decided to do something big. Joe set out to run seven marathons on seven consecutive days across South Wales and the South West of England, finishing at Steve and Sue’s home. This film follows the early mornings, relentless training, injuries and moments of doubt, along with the friends, family and strangers who helped carry him through. The challenge raised more than £12,000 for Butterfly Thyroid Cancer Trust and helped shine a light on thyroid cancer, particularly the rare and aggressive anaplastic form.
