Star Trek: Bridge Commander: Episode 1 — Picking Up The Pieces

At the start of the game we're presented with Captain Wright's log where he's just about to explain how brilliant our character is only to be cut short by a star going supernova and destroying his shuttle. R.I.P Cap. Due to the Captain's death, our character — an unnamed commander — is promoted from first officer to captain of the U.S.S Dauntless, a galaxy class starship which is operating in an area of space known as "The Maelstrom". This is an area of space that comprises of Cardassian, Klingon, Federation and Romulan territory so tensions are high and diplomacy is key. Our ship was being repaired after receiving damage from the Vesuvi supernova and while docked we take on our new First Officer, Saffi Larsen, and a distinguished guest, Captain Jean-Luc Picard. Picard walks us through the various ships systems and shows us how to control navigation, weapons, engineering and sensors which is a bit worrying when you think about it — we've managed to make it to the rank of Captain without knowing how a starship works, but when you look at Saffi's attitude it's entirely possible I suppose. We need to take supplies to the Haven colony in the Vesuvi system but when we get their we see that they're in danger of being hit by fragments from the Vesuvi supernova. After we've helped them out we're diverted to helps the U.S.S Sovereign in the Tevron II system. We're attacked by 2 Romulan Warbirds but with the help of a Klingon Bird of Prey we're able to chase them off. Picard then transports over to the Klingon ship and they take him to Biranu Station while we return to Geki to continue our resupply mission — although I wish we hadn't as the colony's administrator is extremely rude!
