NEW JERSEY FLOODED! Nor’easter Sends Jersey Shore Streets Underwater

A powerful nor’easter and full-moon spring tides are causing significant coastal flooding along the Jersey Shore, with Ocean City, Long Beach Island, Manasquan, Atlantic City, and other communities seeing roads underwater, closures, stranded vehicles, and dangerous surf. Ocean City recorded a high tide near 7.63 feet, approaching levels associated with the major 2016 flooding. Long Beach Island’s Route 72 Causeway was also shut down at peak flooding.
