George Washington & Jefferson National Forests, Virginia

The Thumbnail shows the Kimberling Creek Suspension Bridge, where the Appalachian Trail crosses Kimberling Creek. another bridge in this video is the Buchanan Swinging Bridge in Buchanan, VA. It spans the James River on the edge of the little downtown area where we stopped for lunch. This trip took place in the Fall of 2020, along the Blue Ridge Parkway during our Virginia vacation. We stopped at 3 waterfalls. Statons Creek Falls, Wigwam Falls, and Dismal Falls. All can be found within either the George Washington National Forest or the Jefferson National Forest. When we stopped at the Yankee Horse Ridge Trailhead we were able to walk on the Old Logging Road. It was very scenic though the tracks don't go on for very far.
