This SECRET 4000-Footer is HIDDEN in Plain Sight (The Nose of Mount Mansfield)

The Nose of Mount Mansfield in Vermont is 4,064 ft high and it meets the AMC minimum prominence cut-off with a prominence of 212 ft. So why is it not included in the AMC New England 4,000 footers list? I don’t know. But it is an awesome underrated gem! Join me on my hike starting at Underhill State Park, going up the Maple Ridge Trail to the Forehead. Then the Vermont Long Trail to the Nose and the summit. Then the Sunset Ridge Trail back down to Underhill.
