Psalm 59 - My Fortress at First Light Verse 1: The night’s grown long, they’re circlin’ my door, Whisperin’ lies like they’ve done before. I never picked this fight, Lord, You know it’s true, So I’m standin’ here tonight, leanin’ hard on You. Pre-Chorus: They can sharpen every word they say, But they can’t steal the hope You’ve made. Chorus: You’re my fortress in the dead of night, My shelter till the morning light. When the wolves are howlin’ all around, You’re the solid, faithful ground.
