Momiji — the Japanese maple, its leaves turning deep crimson in autumn. For over a thousand years people have gone momiji-gari, travelling to temples and mountains simply to gaze at the red leaves, just as they do for cherry blossoms in spring. It is the quiet celebration of a beauty that will soon fall. Felt piano and cello drift beneath the crimson maple by the still water. One hour of original Japanese neo-classical adagio, made for sleep, deep rest and quiet focus.
