🔥 What happens when the AI makes the decision? Imagine this. It’s a regular Agile Sprint. The team is working on multiple priorities. Suddenly, an AI Agent analyses customer feedback, delivery data, dependencies and team capacity. It recommends a change. Then it goes one step further. It makes the decision. It re-prioritises the backlog. It reallocates work.It triggers the next action. And for a moment, everything looks perfect. Until something goes wrong. Someone asks the uncomfortable question: “Who is responsible?” The Agent made the decision. The Product Owner authorised its autonomy. The team trusted the recommendation. The organisation deployed the Agent. So… who owns the outcome? This is where Agentic AI makes the conversation around Agile much more interesting. We are moving from AI that assists teams to AI that can increasingly reason, plan, decide and act. And that raises some fascinating questions: 🤖 When does an AI Agent stop being a tool and start becoming a team member? ⚖️ Can we delegate decision-making without delegating accountability? 👀 Does “Human-in-the-loop” remain meaningful when humans approve hundreds of AI decisions? 🧠 What happens when the Agent gets the right outcome for the wrong reason? 📝 Should AI-specific guardrails become part of our Definition of Done? 👤 If an Agent can prioritise, analyse, code and test, what should remain uniquely human in the Product Owner, Scrum Master, Developer or Architect role? And perhaps the biggest question of all: When the Agent decides, who owns the outcome?
