🛕 Temple-Style Pulihora — The Divine South Indian Flavour 💛 Enjoy the authentic taste of traditional South Indian Pulihora, made with tangy tamarind, aromatic roasted spices, crunchy peanuts and cashews. 🌿✨ Perfect as a festive dish, prasadam, or a delicious everyday meal! 🥣 Ingredients Tamarind – as required Rice – 1 glass Water – as required Turmeric powder – a little Salt – as required Oil – as required Cumin seeds Mustard seeds Chana dal Urad dal Green chillies Curry leaves Hing (asafoetida) Jaggery – as required Fenugreek seeds Black pepper Dried red chillies Sesame seeds Peanuts Cashews 👩‍🍳 Preparation Wash and soak the tamarind in water. Cook 1 glass of rice with water, turmeric, salt and a little oil. Heat oil in a pan and sauté cumin seeds, mustard seeds, chana dal, urad dal, green chillies, curry leaves and hing. Add the soaked tamarind water, jaggery and salt, then bring it to a boil. Separately, dry-roast the spices and sesame seeds, cool and grind them into a powder. Add this powder to the tamarind mixture and cook until it thickens. Mix the tamarind mixture with the cooked rice.
