Every night at 3:14 a voice that sounds exactly like his reads out the names of people who later walk barefoot into the fields and stand there counting. He learns this is the Choir, something that lives in old vacuum-tube radios and was first heard at a secret military station years before the war, and may even have caused it. The counters slowly gather around his station, and singing songs the Choir has never heard is the only thing that holds them back. A girl named Cadence, the first person the Choir took, has been trapped inside the transmitter's main tube, and on the longest night of the year, fifteen-year-old Adeline takes her place there. The whole world goes silent so the Choir can hear her sing it a lullaby from the inside, and it finally goes to sleep. In the morning the sky is clear, most of the counters have died peacefully, forty-one wake up alive, and Silas goes back on the air. 📌All Unpublished episodes : You're Listening to the Radio, During the Great Famine :   / youre-listening-170373720   You're Listening to the Radio, During Sinkhole Crisis :   / youre-listening-168319961   You're Listening to the Radio, During the Sentient Flora Apocalypse:   / youre-listening-168106211   You're listening to the Radio, During the Collapse of the Power Grid   / youre-listening-168021266   You're listening to the Radio, During Network Apocalypse   / youre-listening-167866259   You're Listening to the Radio, During a Deep Sea Monster Attack   / youre-listening-167652444   You're Listening to the Radio, During a Flesh-Eating Virus Outbreak   / youre-listening-167487029   You're Listening to the Radio, During the Sentient Flora Apocalypse   / youre-listening-168106211   Playlist :    • Apocalypse Radio ⛈   Disclaimer: This is a purely fictional story created for entertainment purposes only.
