Charleston Red – Coat of Many Stains | Appalachian Bluegrass Gospel

“Coat of Many Stains” — Charleston Red Some stains are placed upon us by the wounds others leave behind. Others come from our own mistakes and choices. Sometimes, after carrying them long enough, it becomes hard to tell the difference. But Christ knows. “Coat of Many Stains” is an Appalachian bluegrass gospel song about a woman carrying the wounds of her past, the weight of her own sins, and the shame she could never quite separate from either. Through the mercy of Jesus Christ, she discovers that He has always known which wounds needed healing and which sins needed forgiveness. The coat remains part of her story—but mercy has washed it white as snow. 🎵 Appalachian Bluegrass Gospel 🎙️ Charleston Red ✝️ A song of mercy, healing, forgiveness, and redemption © CWGarten 2026.
