The Porch Light Stayed On | An Appalachian Bluegrass Ghost Story

An old man. A deserted mining road. Three knocks on Halloween night. For years, Jesse has kept his late wife’s candy crock filled and the porch light burning, though nobody comes to call. Then a little boy in a miner’s cap appears at his door—and gives a name Jesse knows too well. “The Porch Light Stayed On” is an original bluegrass ghost-story song set in 1940s Appalachia, where grief, mountain folklore, and a stranger in the fog meet beneath one lonely light.
