ILLIT HAD ME REPLAYING THE WHOLE EP! “bomb” | First Reaction

We’re continuing our ILLIT catch-up with bomb! I’ve been looking forward to this five-track EP, and while I recognize the song titles, I haven’t properly heard these tracks yet. After everything I’ve enjoyed from ILLIT so far, I’m excited to finally sit down with this project. “little monster” opens with a melody that’s already getting stuck in my head. The brand film brings a unique concept to the song, and the whole introduction feels so fitting for ILLIT. “Billyeoon Goyangi (Do the Dance)” follows with dreamlike vocals, an infectious chorus, and plenty of moments that stay with you. The video adds so many memorable visuals, while their delivery keeps that unmistakable ILLIT personality right at the center. “jellyous” had me losing it. The vocals sound so effortless and angelic, and between the production, the chorus, and that “back off” moment, we had to spend some extra time here. The choreography gave me another reason to get out of my chair! “oops!” keeps the fun going, and watching the Spotify performance really highlights their chemistry. It’s the way they perform together, the synchronization, the energy, and the confidence that makes me appreciate how much work goes into their craft. “bamsopoong” closes the EP with another combination of vocals and production that had me stopping to appreciate what I was hearing. By this point, I couldn’t help talking about just how consistently ILLIT’s music connects with me. This project left me with so many moments I wanted to hear again that we end up revisiting the tracks before wrapping up. ILLIT is becoming one of my favorite groups, and bomb gives me plenty of reasons why.
