In Conversation: Daisy Parris & Dr. Hester Westley

We are excited to share a special conversation between Daisy Parris and Dr Hester Westley which took place on the opening of 'Kiss the Storm', an exceptional installation by Daisy Parris, in collaboration with Textorial. This was the first time British painter Daisy Parris had worked in the medium of textile, an evolution of their large-scale abstract paintings, which culminated in a mammoth 5-meter unique artwork that was exhibited at The Royal College of Physicians in Regent’s Park, London during Frieze 2025. Building on the material elements that exist in Parris’ paintings, 'Kiss the Storm' interlaces threads of their daily practice of stitching, collage and text application with the woven form. The talk with Dr Hester Westley gives a valuable insight into Parris' work on this installation but also into their practice as a whole.
