Hi Everyone
First stop in this episode is a quiet little free camp called Kungku Kamu Waterhole (located approximately 70kms west of Winton). Yes it was hot, yes it was dusty and yes the waterhole had completely dried up by the time we arrived in mid-September BUT it was very quiet and had a beautiful lookout over the valley once you managed to clamber to the top of a small rocky ridge!
After a lesson on Australia's dinosaur history at the Age of Dinosaurs in Winton, it was time to make tracks north to Porcupine Gorge Pyramid Campground (Porcupine Gorge National Park) where there was a remarkable rock face that resembled the Great Pyramid of Giza!
Last stop was at Shirley Shearing Shed Campground which is located in Moorrinya National Park. It was great to explore the historical shearing shed and associated outbuildings and watch the birdlife (pelicans included) soaring above.
Thank you for watching and we will see you next time.
