Engineering the P2P B777 – Landing Gear Build

This is where the P2P B777 project started. The goal was to build a functional 1:87 scale aircraft model with retractable landing gear, suspension and nose wheel steering. In this first episode, I focus on one of the most challenging parts of the entire project: the landing gear. Every component was designed, tested and improved until the mechanism worked reliably at this scale. This video shows the development of the original prototype. The finished Version 2.0 is now fully documented and available as a complete build package.
