After almost three months of redesigning, testing and improving the original prototype, the P2P B777 Version 2.0 is finally finished. What started as a personal project for my son has turned into a fully documented functional 1:87 scale aircraft model that you can now build yourself. Version 2.0 includes retractable landing gear, automatic main landing gear doors, nose wheel steering, spinning engines, staged lighting, cabin and engine sounds, opening sections, a custom PCB and many other improvements. But the biggest challenge was not simply improving the aircraft. It was turning the prototype into something that another maker could actually reproduce.
