#japanvlog #japanesecountryside #countrylife #familyvlog #dailyvlog #beekeeping For over a year, our family kept Japanese honey bees on our remote island in southern Japan. What started with a simple homemade hive turned into a journey of natural swarms, growing comb, our first taste of honey, beeswax candles, wax moths, winter, and several encounters with giant hornets. We became quite attached to our little colony. But in mid-September, everything changed. The hornets came back, and this time, our bees were nowhere to be seen. In this video, we look back at how our beekeeping journey began, what we learned along the way, and what happened to our colony in the end. Perhaps this is where our first beekeeping journey comes to an end. Or maybe… it isn't really the end after all. Thank you for watching and for following our life here on this remote island in Japan.
