POV: Rolling Onto the Track at Eagles Canyon Raceway-Meta Glasses View-Porsche 718 Boxster GTS 4.0

Ever wonder what it’s like to climb into a Porsche and head onto the track? This is exactly what I see through my Meta glasses as I leave the paddock, make my way to the grid, get the signal from the grid chief, and roll onto Eagles Canyon Raceway for another HPDE session. No cinematic camera angles. No drone shots. Just a driver’s-eye view from behind the wheel of my Racing Yellow 2023 Porsche 718 Boxster GTS 4.0, “The Skipper.” This was one of three sessions on a warm Texas summer day where I was collecting data with RaceChrono, RaceBox Mini S, OBDLink MX+, and Garmin Catalyst while chasing smoother, more consistent laps—not just faster ones. Sometimes the best part of a track day isn’t the lap time. It’s that moment when the visor comes down, the marshal waves you onto the circuit, and eleven corners of possibility are waiting.
