Halloween at Shanghai Disneyland is the moment I look forward to most all year. The park is still bright and cheerful. What surprised me most was how many guests were in full cosplay — princesses, villains, all kinds of ghouls, each more committed than the last. The atmosphere was incredible, like stepping into another world. When it gets dark, the Enchanted Storybook Castle lights up and the mood shifts completely. The big Halloween night show is the highlight — lights drop, the music kicks in, and all the villains and ghouls rush out. I end the day over at Treasure Cove meeting Jack Sparrow and his crew.
