Lost in Space (1965) Cast Then and Now: Who’s Still Alive After 61 Years?

Lost in Space cast then and now: this video asks a question fans still raise, which members of the 1965 CBS science-fiction series are still alive after 61 years, and what became of the people who flew the Jupiter 2. The show premiered in September 1965 and ran for three seasons and 83 episodes. The ship carried a crew of nine: seven actors, the performer inside the Robot suit, and the man who gave the Robot its voice. Three of those nine are still with us. A lunch photograph shared in March 2026 by Bill Mumy and Angela Cartwright frames the story, and we count the whole crew from there. We begin with the leads: Guy Williams as Professor John Robinson, June Lockhart as Maureen Robinson, Jonathan Harris as Dr. Zachary Smith, and Bill Mumy as Will Robinson. Next we follow Mark Goddard, Marta Kristen, Angela Cartwright, Bob May inside the Robot suit, and Dick Tufeld, the voice of the Robot. A behind-the-scenes section covers why CBS did not renew the series in 1968, what the episodes cost, and who returned and who declined for the 1998 feature film. We also revisit guest stars Michael Rennie, Ted Cassidy, Werner Klemperer, Kurt Russell and Sherry Jackson, then close with a roll call of those who have passed away, including June Lockhart, who died in October 2025 at the age of 100.
