Why do humans eat cows, pigs, chickens, and fish… but rarely eat wolves, lions, tigers, or other predators?
The answer is far more complicated than simply saying predators are “dangerous” or “inedible.”
In this documentary, we explore the strange relationship between humans and predator meat — from food chains and energy transfer to disease risks, biomagnification, economics, human psychology, history, and the ecological role of apex predators.
We’ll look at Raymond Lindeman’s groundbreaking work on trophic dynamics, the dangers revealed by the DDT food-chain story, the role of predators in ecosystems, and why the animals we consider “food” may have less to do with biology than we think.
The deeper question is not simply *“Can humans eat predators?”*
It is:
*“Why did we decide that some animals belong on our plates… while others belong in the wild?”*
